Who we are

Gallery Websites is operated by Design Monkey Media Ltd. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it, whether you run a gallery or shop from one.

What we collect

For gallery owners and staff: your name, email address, password (stored securely and never visible to us), the content you publish, and records relating to your subscription.

For shoppers: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details when you place an order or send an enquiry to a gallery. We also keep simple, anonymous visitor statistics for each gallery, such as page views.

Why we use it

To run your account and your gallery's website, to take subscription payments, to pass order details to the gallery you bought from, and to keep the service safe.

We only collect what we need, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Payments

Subscription and artwork payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card or payment details directly; we never see or store your full payment details. You can read Stripe's own privacy policy on their website.

Sharing

Your information is shared only with the providers that help us run the service — our hosting, our database provider and Stripe — and with the gallery you bought from or enquired with. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the service work. We also use simple, anonymous analytics to count visitors to gallery websites. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

How long we keep it

Account details are kept while your account is active. Order records are kept for up to seven years, as required for tax and accounting purposes. Anonymous visitor statistics are kept for up to two years.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Email hello@design-monkey.co.uk and we will help.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
